We’ve taught you about the other Levi’s 501’s and the Levi’s to get if you want that perfect “Boyfriend Fit”, but today we’re going to teach about some great fits of Levi’s that you might not know about! Levi’s are always bridging any gaps in their collection with different fits of jeans. Let’s have a look at some of these less-known-about fits and whether they might be the perfect jeans for you!
1. Levi’s 505
First up, the Levi’s 505s, known for being “a little bit of a dad jean” according to Jonathan Cheung, the head designer at Levi’s. Designed to sit just on the waist with its mid-rise. They also have a classic straight-leg with extra room at the thigh. When they say they're straight-leg, they mean it, as this jean goes straight down to the ankle which has a 16.5” leg opening. In comparison to the well-known Levi’s 501s, the only real difference is the extra room around the thighs, so if you’ve tried the 501s and found them a bit claustrophobic around your upper leg, then why not give this fit a try?!
2. Levi’s 508
Now, the Levi’s 508s are a bit of a weird one… mostly for the fact that they’ve been discontinued, which may leave you wondering why we’re telling you about them. Well, just because they’re discontinued, doesn’t mean they no longer exist, we actually have quite a few pairs online at GOTHRIFT.CO.UK. The reason these jeans are discontinued is because they apparently weren’t selling well, which is a shame because if you do a quick google search, the people who did buy them say they’re the “perfect” jean. They’re a regular fit with a tapered leg, which is what people seem to love about them.
3. Levi’s 513
The Levi’s 513s are closest to the Levi’s 511s, one of Levi’s better-known styles. They are described as having a “versatile” fit as they have a straight leg but a slim fit giving them a slimmer silhouette without being too tight on the leg. The main difference between this fit and the more popular 511s is the amount of room around the ankle. So if you like the 511s but find you want more room towards the bottom of your jeans, the 513s could be the perfect choice for you.
4. Levi’s 514
This fit is pretty standard as they sit low on the waist, with a regular fit through the thigh and straight leg. They are recommended for those of you that have a medium to athletic build as they are comfy fit with enough stretch for everyday wear. These jeans are perfect if you’ve tried the classic 501s and found them at all uncomfortable or tight around the waist. The lower waist and all-round looser fit of the Levi's 514s make for a much comfier and more adaptable fit!
5. Levi’s 541
If the 514s didn’t sound comfy enough for you, then let me introduce you to the 541s. This fit is literally known as “The Athletic Fit” as they have been made with much more room around the thighs and sit at the waist for a comfier feel. However, the leg is still tapered to leave you with a modern, slim silhouette. This is another fit that has been discontinued by Levi’s but is still very much available to buy second-hand and from other retailers.
