The Role


We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Manager to join our team. As the Ecommerce Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day trading and execution of any changes to our website, utilising available resources to maintain a commercial awareness of seasonal sales patterns, key competitors, and customer behaviour. You will define and manage trading strategies, contribute to development and UX roadmaps, and optimise site navigation, customer journey and product placement to maintain growth and drive online sales on all ecommerce channels.


Responsibilities:


> Utilise resources to analyse seasonal sales patterns and maintain commercial awareness


> Define and manage trading strategies and contribute to development and UX roadmaps


> Optimise site navigation, customer journey and product placement to drive online sales


> Work with the marketing team to ensure product and trading strategies are supported


> Collate and improve product data, tags, and imagery to optimise online sales


> Coordinate promos and campaigns with the wider marketing team including stock, content, discounts, CTAs and landing page creation


> Stand-in for staff holidays and training in products and systems where required


> Strategize and implement a comprehensive online inventory management plan


> Create and monitor the ecommerce team KPIs


> Optimisation of the performance of the website across key metrics


> Ensure the running and performance of all ecommerce stores, platforms, and third-party applications


> Oversee the day-to-day running of the Shopify+ website and online marketplaces


> Create and maintain campaign landing pages to support brand, keyword, and localised marketing campaigns


> Continually track competitor and industry content initiatives


> Working with our ecommerce merchandiser ensure our site is consistently re-merchandised in line with current promotional or creative strategies


> Organise product and campaign launches including building plans with content and creative teams


> Communication of keyword research and industry trends to utilise for SEO via content, product descriptions, product titles, image tags and blog posts


Requirements:


> Solid understanding and experience of direct to consumer ecommerce and digital retail marketplaces/platforms, ideally for a Shopify+ business.


> A strong track record of successfully growing online sales performance within budget and a long-term strategy, ideally through a matrix team.


> An exceptional leader of people, great at developing and sustaining key internal and external relationships, performance management and people development.


> A natural influencer, your technical expertise naturally builds trust and confidence with others, which is the foundation for maximising commercial opportunities and minimising risks/inefficiencies.


> Knowledge of retail trading or merchandising would be a significant advantage but not essential.


> You are a strategic thinker with a challenging mindset, experience in strategy creation, development and delivery.


> Working knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.


> You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity whilst ensuring your team has the right information at the right time to make right first time decisions.


> Knowledge of online marketplaces such as eBay would be a huge advantage but not essential.


> Champion of data-driven decision-making, good at drawing external insight to drive long-term category plans as well as identifying opportunities for growth in all online areas.


> Past experience using an organising tool such as Trello or Assana.


> An ecommerce specialist who has experience across the marketing landscape, not just in digital but in design, UX and wider disciplines including marketing, promotions, and fulfilment.
