What are the UN SDGs?

The Sustainable Development Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by 2030

How does that relate to you?

It may feel like these Global Goals don’t affect you, but they do. As active citizens and consumers living in an increasingly interconnected world, our daily actions can have important impacts on other people, communities and the environment. It may not be obvious that your clothes are intrinsically linked to the SDGs, but they are!

Our Values:

At Go Thrift we acknowledge the 17 goals and are proud to be contributing to many of them by the very nature of our business.

We promote gender equality across our team of staff, management, and founders. We employ apprentices and provide the skills and education needed to support development within our industry. We offer decent job creation, encourage entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation.

Go Thrift offers an alternative to fast fashion, reducing the need to manufacture new clothing. Buying an item of clothing second hand vs new can reduce its carbon footprint by up to 82%

We’re breaking down the barriers to shopping sustainability by doing what we do best, selling high-quality, second-hand clothing; at prices people can afford!

SMALL CHANGES, BIG IMPACT!

Sustainability.

Is sustainability a passing trend? Absolutely not, sustainability has been trending for millions of years, otherwise we wouldn’t be here now! We believe that it’s fast fashion and excess that are a passing trend – sustainability is the future!
